Only two more days left. Both are finals. I simply cannot wait until we make the switch.
I’ve decided to make a lot of changes next year. For one, I’m going to shift my focus to grammar and writing. I personally love literature and would be much happier doing nothing but reading all the time, but the Tennessee End of Course exam thinks otherwise. The entire test is grammar-based, with the exception of a a few reading comprehension questions. So, I’m hitting the orange grammar books up hardcore, and it will be my focus, at least at first. Oedipus the King might be a casualty of this, but we’ll see.
Bucket is still doing okay. The tumor on her neck is the size of a softball, and it makes me sad to know that I can’t do anything about it. Grossmommy actually said her appetite was a bit better the other day, so that’s good. She’s still acting like herself, doing her Bucket thing, so we’re trudging along.
We should be closing on the house around Christmastime. The official date is January 5, but both our banker and our realtor said getting the job done by the 26th shouldn’t be a problem. I am looking forward to taking that old house and making it home over the next five months. The nice part about free housing is that it gives you time to piddle and experiment.
This year I have learned to appreciate sleep. As in going to bed at 7:00 and not getting up till 6:00 sleep. Ahhhhh.
I have also learned to appreciate HGTV.
I want to be gay and snuggle. So I will. Ciao.
